Great only complaint was wish it was a bit more wide

Finding myself more and more hunched over at my computer desk I wanted a way to raise my iMac to my eye level. I have a dual monitor setup and while my LG 4k monitor does offer height adjustments the iMac, for some reason, does not. I came across this item and took a chance. Assembling this stand was straight forward and very simple. The stand feels well built and very sturdy.

You do not need any additional tools to put together this monitor stand. It comes with an included Allen wrench, but the screws are placed into threaded, metal channels, rather than driven directly into wood, so they screw in quite easily. This is a very "arthritis friendly" item to put together.

If you do decide to use a power drill to help with assembly, you will need one with a flex-shaft of some kind as the screws are positioned directly underneath the horizontal bars of the legs and, thus, only accessible with either short or indirect tools.

The packaging with this monitor stand is -wonderful-! Even the corners of the wood shelf bit have extra bumpers on them!

I can't believe I've been using my cluttered desk for so long without this shelf. It's a total game changer. My desk is always chaotic, but it is sooo great to have a place to stash the keyboard and the draw pad, and a place for my stand-alone speakers to sit so they won't get pushed off the desk onto the floor. Be aware that this shelf is really, really big. Huge, even. The middle leg is off-center, leaving two spaces under the shelf: one that is just over 21.5" wide, and another (where the drawer is) that is 16" wide. The wide side gives enough space to slide my large keyboard underneath the shelf. The shelf doesn't have a front or back: it looks the same from either side and the drawer can be installed from either side, so you can place the drawer on the left or right depending on your needs. The whole thing can be assembled without instructions (although instructions were included) in a few minutes. It also looks and feels well-made with metal hardware, not cheap or plasticky at all. LOVE IT!

Unlike some other stands you can find --- this one is one solid piece of wood-alike material. It is most likely made of pressed wood, but has a good texture, and it is relatively thick. I use it as a stand for a rather large and heavy 43" monitor. It works great as a stand. Since I usually put a music keyboard under my monitor, I could not leverage the metallic shelf and metallic support that's supposed to be installed in the middle. But even without the 3rd metallic support in the middle, this riser stand is holding my monitor just right without bending. I think if you place two modern light monitors on it, with the middle bar - it'd hold them both perfectly fine. You can definitely fit 2x 27" monitors on it. In my case - one 43" fits fine, with a bit of extra space left on both sides for small speakers. Very good!
